Six questions that come up on nearly every enquiry.
Our own workers carry out the installation at your site. The bench is set out on a level base; one packed up on a single leg will rock and will eventually crack at the end. Tell us where the bench is going when you order and we will arrange the fitting.
Both patterns are 150 mm in diameter and 800 mm long, with a 100 mm steel projection. They are cast in M30 grade concrete.
It does not rust and it has no scrap value, which in practice is the reason most buyers move over: a steel or cast iron bollard walks off the site. Concrete is heavy enough to take a knock and stay upright, and a scrape is put right with paint rather than a replacement part.
The bench is 1500 mm long with the seat 450 mm off the ground, and it seats three people comfortably. It is cast in M30 grade concrete, with steel-reinforced slats.
Weight is the point. A 1500 mm bench is heavy enough to stay where it is put in most settings, and heavy enough that nobody walks off with it. There is no timber to rot and no steel frame to rust, and a scrape is put right with paint rather than a replacement part. It is not the right choice where the bench has to be lifted and moved often.
It depends on the quantity and the location. Tell us both when you enquire and the quotation will include it.
Standard colours
Bollards are black with yellow bands as standard, benches red. All are painted by hand in our own yard. On a bulk order we will finish in any colour you ask for — tell us what you need at enquiry stage.
